Michael Jackson - Verdict Is In!

After less than a week of deliberation, the jury in Michael Jackson's family's wrongful death suit against AEG Live ruled in favor of the concert promotion company.

The King of Pop's mother, Katherine Jackson, and his three children -- Prince, Paris and Blanket -- sued the concert promoter in 2010, claiming that the company was negligent in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray to tend to the pop star.

"The jury's decision completely vindicates AEG Live, confirming what we have known from the start -- that although Michael Jackson's death was a terrible tragedy, it was not a tragedy of AEG Live's making," said Marvin Putnam of O'Melveny & Myers LLP, lead trial counsel for the defendants in the lawsuit, shortly after the verdict.

ELIZA [pronounced: “Eleeza”] is an artist & composer of EDM/Dance/Pop music from southern California. She combines her love of various musical influences into her moody creations that feature catchy orchestral & techno grooves with infectious vocal hooks. A self- taught vocalist & composer with no formal musical training, she began recording as a studio session vocalist, under the name “Lizann”. In 2009, her voice began gaining notice after she was featured singing 2 tracks ["Barracuda" & "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"] on the popular Activision game Guitar Hero 3. Soon after, she was hired to record vocals for several advertisements including a TV commercial for Sandals resorts where she sings “My Blue Heaven”, a successful ad which has aired on all major television networks.

Born Elizabeth Ann Warner, in Los Angeles California, “Eliza” heard full compositions in her head and for years had dreamed of composing original songs. But because she was unable to play any instruments fluently, she was forced to rely on other musicians to interpret & perform her musical ideas with nothing more to guide them than the melodies she could sing. Due to the frustration of not being able to personally record her compositions and the disappointment of her ideas being lost in translation, she abandoned her dream of being a song writer, & turned her focus onto a career solely as a vocalist, performing & recording the music of other artists & composers.

Then in 2012, after nearly 10 years of working as a professional singer, and on a struggling artist’s budget, she purchased a Pro Tools software program, which completely changed her world. Through little more than on-line tutorials, she taught herself in less than 4 months how to record complete compositions with just a keyboard. And in doing so, she was given a 2^nd chance at her dream of not just being a singer…but finally a composer! With renewed confidence, she changed her name to “Eliza” and embarked on her new musical journey. Taking hours, days, weeks, and sometimes even months in the studio, she painstakingly re-created the songs she heard in her head, note by note – exactly as she had imagined them.

What developed from her perseverance are songs that weave a melodic tapestry of both deep emotion & playful whimsy, combining her love of electronic dance music, classical orchestrations and everything in between, into recorded works ..most of which are completely performed by Eliza herself! Now, with her upcoming debut album “ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN”, she leads listeners through a melodic world that up until now, only Eliza could hear!
