Country music sensation, Charissa Mrowka, is a 17 year old
singer/songwriter/recording artist, who has performed all around WI, IL,
IN, OH, and TN, at every type of venue from smaller intimate stages to
main stages at country festivals, state & county fairs, indoor
theaters, amphitheaters, and even at the House of Blues (Chicago &
Cleveland). Many of these performances have been spots opening directly
for and/or the festival day for many stars since the age of 8. Some of
those stars include; Billy Currington, Rodney Atkins, Lonestar, Trick Pony, Pat Green, Chuck Wicks, Danielle Peck, The Oak Ridge Boys, Jo Dee Messina, Joe Diffie, Kellie Pickler, Heidi Newfield, Neal McCoy, Gretchen Wilson, and Hannah Montana stars, Mitchel Musso and Billy Ray Cyrus.
In addition to rubbing elbows with the stars, Charissa has won or placed in numerous talent competitions from Colgate Country Showdowns to Battle of the Bands talent contests, both live and online.
Charissa is extremely proud of her CD released in July 2012, titled “Simply Together“, which consists of only her original music. Her music video for the title track can be viewed here.
Although Charissa has the ability to captivate an audience with just her voice and her guitar, she has been performing with her own band since the age of 10. She was originally backed by the “Auburn Sky Band” for 5 years, but for the 2012 season, a new, younger, powerhouse band, “Country Cross,” was assembled.
Charissa & Country Cross had an exciting and eventful summer 2012 performing at multiple venues in Nashville on Broadway (Rippy’s, Honky Tonk Central, & National Underground) during the 2012 CMA Music Fest, as well as, opening for Hunter Hayes, Jerrod Niemann, LeAnn Rimes, and
Phil Vassar at various festivals.
Charissa & Country Cross have an action-packed 2013 season lined up! CMCC will be sharing the stage with acts Darius Rucker, Kellie Pickler, Phil Vassar, Tracy Lawrence, Collin Raye, Randy Houser, and Florida-Georgia Line! CMCC has also been in the recording studio cutting some of Charissa’s originals. Expect a CD release party in the next few months!
