Chelsea Cavanaugh A Country Sensation!

Chelsea Cavanaugh is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Albany, NY who has been writing songs since the age of nine, playing guitar for three years and warming hearts with her personality since day 1.

Over the last two years, Chelsea has been entertaining crowds around the Capital Region at venues such as Jillian’s, The Bayou, The Linda, Savannah’s, and many more. In just the last year, Chelsea has amassed a large regional following by performing on stage at summer festivals, including both a Keith Urban pre-concert party and the pre-concert party for Rascal Flatts. After catching the eye of local country radio station WGNA, she was asked to open up for national country recording artists Phil Vassar and James Wesley at the Taste of Country BBQ Nationals. With her eye on performing in Nashville, last November Chelsea secured a spot on a Friday night during the week of the CMAs at Nashville’s famed “The Listening Room.” One thing is for sure, Chelsea Cavanaugh is no one trick pony. She's as comfortable behind the mic in radio stations and on television as she is on stage.

Working hard to promote her music has afforded her the opportunity to perform live on TV for the Center for Disabilities Telethon and also live on the radio with the top stations of the Capital region; 107.7 WGNA, PYX 106, 104.9 the CAT, CRUMBS 97.7, 88.3 The Saint, and Capital Underground Radio. As 2011 drew to a close, Chelsea was busy recording two of her original songs, “What Will Be” and “Every Song That I Write” at the beautiful White Lake Music and Post. With the recording in the bag, everyone is looking forward to their release in 2012. If the history and hard work ethic of an artist are any indication of their future in the music industry, than Chelsea Cavanaugh is THE artist to follow!
